Snowing in Garrett County!!

Black Friday, has turned out to be White Friday in Garrett County. The weatherman is predicting 3-6 inch accumulation by the middle of the night. We went over to Wisp and they are starting to blow snow, hoping to be open next weekend, so cross your fingers.

Also if you have not heard, Wisp is having a White Friday sale today, and today only, on ski & tubing tickets, as well as mountain coaster rides. Call them today at 301-387-4911.

Meeting at Dream Mountain Ranch

Last night the Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations' reservation staff toured Dream Mountain Ranch in Bruceton Mills, WV. It is about 20 minutes west of Deep Creek Lake. It is a 1100 acre gaming ranch and definitely wild and wonderful, with over 500 whitetail deer, 60 elk, and 20 buffalo. We even got to see some white bucks that were just brought to the ranch. There are 5 catch and release ponds and 52 miles of trails for hiking and ATV riding.

They have a 4 bedroom lodge and 3 one bedroom cabins all luxuriously decorated. The Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations group then had their meeting in the lodge with some good ole fashion sloppy joes!

Ledo's

We went to Ledo's for a business lunch today, Chad, Joe, and myself. The atmosphere is fantastic (great for family dinners), the prices are reasonable, and the food was great! I suggest the chicken and artichoke bruschetta - big enough to split. They even have a bar area in the back - so perfect for gatherings and small parties.

Vacation Rental Managers Association in DC

We just got back from DC for our annual Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA). The conference was jammed packed with information on back to the basics with customer service, marketing, laundry services, and housekeeping. I gave a presentation on Dealing with Difficult Guests with a strong attendance last Monday and presented with Denny from Catalina Islands on the west coast.

The last night was a costume party, and I was able to get Chad and Joe to dress up!
